Refund Policy — Last updated

The short version

Every paid plan at SiteGuardian comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. No questions asked. If you change your mind in the first 30 days, email us or cancel through the dashboard and we will refund your payment.

Yes, that includes the Lifetime deal. The $299 one-time plan is refundable for the first 30 days. We want you to be able to try SiteGuardian without betting $299 on a stranger's website. After the 30-day window closes, all sales are final.

What the three SKUs look like

Starter. $19 per month

  • Recurring subscription, billed monthly.
  • 30-day money-back guarantee from your first payment. After 30 days, normal monthly billing applies. You can cancel at any time and you will not be billed for the next month.

Pro. $39 per month

  • Recurring subscription, billed monthly.
  • Same 30-day money-back guarantee from your first payment. After 30 days, normal monthly billing applies. Cancel at any time.

Lifetime. $299 one-time

  • Single payment, no recurring charge.
  • 30-day money-back guarantee from the date of purchase. After 30 days, the payment is not refundable. The plan includes every future update to SiteGuardian, but it does not convert into a refund outside the 30-day window.

Free tier. $0

  • No payment, no refund. There is nothing to refund.

How to ask for a refund

Either of these paths works. You do not need both.

Option A. Email support

Email siteguardian-8@polsia.app from the email address you signed up with. Tell us you'd like a refund. We will:

1. Confirm which plan you are on and which payment you want refunded. 2. Process the refund through Stripe, back to the same card you paid with. 3. Optionally close your account. Or leave it open if you would rather keep an inactive record.

We aim to reply within one business day. We aim to issue refunds within two business days of your request.

Option B. Cancel through the dashboard

Sign in, open Dashboard → Billing, and click Cancel plan. The cancel flow will ask "refund or just stop". Choose refund if you are inside the 30-day window. The refund goes back to the same card. We will email you a confirmation.

If you are on a monthly tier and you are outside the 30-day window, Cancel plan stops the next charge but does not issue a refund on charges that have already cleared. (Most card networks handle those as chargebacks, not as site-initiated refunds. Call them out as a separate question.)

How long refunds take

After we issue a refund through Stripe, the time it takes to land on your statement depends on your bank:

  • Most cards: 5 to 10 business days.
  • Some banks take longer (up to 30 days for an international card).

If 14 days have passed and you do not see the refund, email us and we will work with Stripe to chase it.

What you get back

  • Starter / Pro: the full amount of your most recent monthly payment, if you are inside the 30-day window. We do not prorate. We do not refund earlier monthly payments.
  • Lifetime: the full $299, once, inside the 30-day window.

If you used a discount code that reduced the price (a startup discount, a partner promo, etc.), the refund is the amount you actually paid, not the standard list price.

Multiple refunds

One refund per plan per customer, ever. If you refund Starter and then buy Starter again, the second purchase has its own 30-day window. We do not run refund loops. (Honestly, if you refund once we'd rather hear from you about what we missed than have you try again on the same plan.)

Edge cases

  • Chargebacks. If you start a chargeback with your bank instead of contacting us, we will respond to the chargeback and provide the refund records. It is faster, less paperwork, and cheaper for everyone if you email us first.
  • Refunds after deletion. If you deleted your account and then ask for a refund inside the 30-day window, we honour the refund. Email us and we'll restore the billing record long enough to issue it.
  • Tax refunds. Refunds go back to the original card, net of any tax we remitted on the original payment (we will adjust the tax the way Stripe and your accountant expect).

Why this is generous

SiteGuardian is one-person-startup software. We cannot promise what an enterprise vendor can promise. We can promise this: if you try SiteGuardian and find it is the wrong product for you in the first 30 days, we will hand your money back without a fight. We think that is the right line.
