Monitor

Ecommerce checkout monitor that catches the ghost-cart day before your inbox goes quiet.

A ghost-cart is the worst kind of ecommerce failure: /checkout still answers, the shopper still hits the “Place order” button, but the order never lands and the buyer leaves no error trail. SiteGuardian probes /checkout on a minute cadence under a tight slow threshold, so you learn the same minute the ghost-cart day starts.

  • Probes /checkout every minute on Pro. Catches the day /checkout started dropping orders.
  • Tight slow threshold per URL. 1.5 seconds is a sane default; tighten to 1.0 second on high-volume stores.
  • One short email per ghost-cart event, named by URL. No dashboard to consult.
  • Multi-region probing so a CDN blip does not falsely trip the check.
  • No Shopify app, no WooCommerce plugin, no payment-provider SDK.

How it works

Setup, in three beats.

  1. Step 01

Add the /checkout URL a buyer types on the day they decide

Paste your /checkout URL (and /cart if you want). Set a 1.5-second slow threshold. The probe runs every minute on Pro, every five minutes on Starter and Lifetime. The check is what a shopper would do — GET /checkout over HTTPS.

  2. Step 02

Let the minute-cadence email find the ghost-cart day

Most online stores accumulate ghost carts silently — a payment gateway update pushed load above threshold, a heavier tracking-pixel script triple the time-to-first-byte, a /checkout-side retry path returns 200 but never confirms. A weekly check misses it; a minute cadence catches it the same hour.

  3. Step 03

Reach the buyer with the ghost-cart recovery email the same day

A ghost-cart day that goes uncaught turns into a recovery-email day. SiteGuardian fires the alert the minute /checkout drops below threshold, so the recovery email can land in the affected shoppers’ inboxes the same morning.

What the alert actually says

One email. One URL. One timestamp.

Your URL https://yourstore.com/checkout answered slowly at 4,820ms (your threshold is 1,500ms) at 14:32 UTC.
